The day before: confirm the return arrangements
Check the location, date and time in your confirmation. Returning to the Casablanca agency, a hotel or the airport requires different arrangements. Confirm the exact meeting point and who to contact. If you want to change the location or extend the rental, request approval and an updated quote before changing your plans.
Flying out of Mohammed V Airport? Plan the car handover separately from the time your airline asks you to be at the terminal. Allow for the drive, a possible fuel stop, the vehicle check and any transfer to the terminal. There is no single buffer that fits every flight.
Fuel and mileage: check your agreement
Do not assume every rental uses a full-to-full fuel policy. Check the level recorded at pick-up and the level required on return. Before refuelling, verify the correct fuel for the vehicle and keep the receipt. Once parked, take a clear photo of the fuel gauge and odometer to supplement your records.
If your quote includes a mileage allowance, compare the pick-up and return readings with that allowance. If a difference is charged, ask for the calculation and the relevant agreed term. This guide does not set fuel charges or an excess-mileage rate.
At handover: inspect the car together
Have the pick-up report and your original photos ready. With the person receiving the car, compare the bodywork, glass, wheels and interior with those records. Take overall views and useful close-ups without photographing other customers’ personal documents. Photos supplement the condition report; they do not replace it.
Ask for the fuel level, mileage, returned equipment and any observations to be recorded on the return document. Read it before signing and request a copy. If it differs from your own record, ask for the discrepancy to be documented before you leave.
Before handing over the keys: check every compartment
A final check helps prevent forgotten belongings. Look in the boot, door pockets, glovebox and under the seats. Gather only your own belongings: documents and equipment supplied with the car should stay with it or be handed to the representative.
- Passports, phone, wallet, glasses, charging cables and last-minute purchases.
- Rental accessories recorded at pick-up, checked against the original list.
- If you connected your phone, remove its Bluetooth pairing and your saved destinations.
Running late, unattended returns or a disagreement
If you expect to be late, contact the team as soon as possible with your estimated arrival time. Ask for confirmation of revised arrangements and any charges rather than assuming a grace period. Do not leave the car in a car park or give the keys to a third party without expressly agreed instructions. An unattended return needs to be arranged in advance.
If there is a disagreement about damage or a charge, request a written description, the recorded findings and an itemised amount. Keep the correspondence and compare it with the agreement and pick-up report. Handing over the keys alone does not establish that a deposit will be released immediately.
Include the return in your quote request
When requesting a Satguru Car Rental quote, include your dates, times and preferred locations for both pick-up and return. Browse the vehicles, then request a quote covering your actual plans. The team confirms availability and the applicable arrangements; an online enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
After the return, keep the agreement, condition reports, receipts and deposit correspondence together. Ask who to contact with any final-account questions and whether any steps remain outstanding. That gives you a clear set of records if you need to follow up from your home country.
